The Queen Bee Half Marathon offers two ways for local, charities to fundraise for their organization – Build the Beehive (Participant Fundraising) and Busy Bees (Volunteer) levels.
The two (2) levels of charity participation are briefly described here:
Build the Beehive Level (Participant Fundraising)
This is the traditional method of having participants run or walk for their cause by collecting pledges or soliciting sponsors. 100% of funds raised by the participants go directly to the charity. Interested charities may apply for this level by contacting Joel Barnhill at email@example.com. If accepted into this level, the Queen Bee will provide some special incentives to help the charities “build their beehive.”
Busy Bees Level (Volunteer)
The most popular level of raising funds for charity is by becoming one of the volunteer groups that comprise the 1000 volunteers needed to make the Queen Bee buzz! Official charities and non-profit organizations are eligible to receive a donation in exchange for the services of their volunteers. If interested, click here.
