Queen Bee Virtual Event Instructions

Thank you for registering to participate in the Queen Bee Virtual Event. We are grateful for your support as we made the difficult decision to transition the Queen Bee  weekend to a virtual event. Although we wish we could see you cross the finish line in person, we have included instructions below and several ways that we can celebrate with you!


The Queen Bee Virtual Event allows you to complete the race on your own. You will run or walk the race distance at your own pace and at a time and location of your choosing. You choose your own race day from now until October 31 and your own starting line, whether it’s a treadmill, a park or your neighborhood street. Visit the Virtual Event FAQs page on our website for answers to common questions regarding the virtual option.


Much of the below information can be found on the Pig Works App, available for free in the Google Play or Apple App Store. To download, click the links provided or search “Pig Works”.


We encourage you to join our Virtual Group on Facebook. Please continue to share your journey with us by posting photos throughout your training and race day and offering encouragement to other participants. Beginning August 14 through October 16, we’ll have a weekly giveaway for registered fall virtual participants. Each Friday, we’ll randomly select winners to receive Ultimate Air vouchers, ASICS shoes and merchandise, registrations to our 2021 events, gift cards and other sponsor offerings.  

Additionally, we will select 5 winners who share their race day photos on the group page to win an entry into a 2021 Pig Works event of their choice.


Follow us and engage on our Facebook and Instagram pages for contests including a weekly scavenger hunt and photo of the week. Please share your photos with us using #queenbeehalf.



While this is not mandatory, to submit a verified race result by October 31, 2020 we encourage you to use the free ASICS Runkeeper app.

Runkeeper App Instructions


If you are unable to download the ASICS Runkeeper app or you plan to track on a different device, simply use this link and log into your Race Roster account to submit your race time.

You will be prompted to sign into your Race Roster account via email or enter your last name and confirmation number. Once your registration is confirmed, you can enter your results and the results of anyone else that was included in your initial registration. Once results have been entered, you will be able to download your finisher certificate by clicking on your name in the results.

Please note: Virtual participants are not eligible for overall or age group awards.

All virtual participants will receive the following as part of their registration:

While we are working to offer in-person pick up of premium items in late October or early November, we will mail all virtual participant premiums (shirt and medal) for those who cannot attend the pickup. 

Premium bags will be available during the pickup event, or we will ship for a $5 fee. Please stay tuned for more information.We will continue to provide updates on this option as the situation evolves and we have more information.

Snout and Stinger Participants: We will include your medal with your other event premiums.


Pig Works is a 501(c)(3) and helps more than 300 charities raise money through our events. By choosing to complete your event virtually, you are contributing to the $1 million raised each year by our charity partners. Especially at this time, each charity dollar means so much, and we thank you on behalf of each group that uses the Pig Works events as a fundraiser.

Virtual participants have the additional option to create a pledge page through their Race Roster account for an affiliated charity of their choice. This pledge page can be easily customized and shared via social media. For more details on how to create a pledge page and help raise money for a Pig Works Charity, please visit this link.


The Queen Bee weekend will now occur at the location and time of your choice between now and October 31. Pig Works is not responsible for your safety while running virtually. We specifically request that you do not use any of our race date routes as they are not pedestrian safe without the usual street closures and police assistance with traffic. Please also adhere to the physical distancing mandates and guidelines in your area and do not attempt a group run.
